VMware Virtual Image Server technology is the formating for most of the downloads. The build of the servers is a fairly time consuming event, and is never as straight forward as detailed in the build guides. If your unfamilar with the VM Technology have a review of their site. These images will run under their free distributions of VMPlayer and VMServer. You will find most of the download links will take you straight to download from Sourceforge. The downloads for ecdbtools and Nmap2Mysql have been zipped with 7 ZIP. This is a great compression tool for zipping files. Its achieved a further 25% reduction in file size. View the 7 Zip details later in this section for the link to the download.

TIP: Logon to the server and run the command "ifconfig" to get the IPaddress. (The Nmap2Mysql and ecdbtools Guests have the server user name set as "root" and password is set to "passw0rd" . This is only if you need to gain direct access to server console to get the IPaddress. For this information on other guests you may need to access install instructions at the specific websites.) All functionality should then be available under a web browser. ie: http://your-ipaddress/

Check out VMware.com for more information on VMware.

7 ZIP

Due to a variety of reasons but mainly bandwidth we had to get some additonal compression of the VM Images. This is a great tool which has been very useful in reducing the overall sizes of these files. It's a quick install, but there have been a few issues with the front end. Easiest way to operate is just to right click the file you want to extract, and make your selection from the dropdown menu.
